Two week ago we learned about Humpty Dumpty for the week. We ended the week with a science experiment..
The students have their predictions ready!
We used hard boiled eggs, chanted humpty dumpty, then dropped the egg off of the "wall" (boat). The students made predictions on their clipboard, whether the egg would crack or stay together.  After their prediction and egg drop, they colored the egg of what actually happened. We used 6 eggs with different things in each bag (feathers, beans, etc). They LOVED this! Ask your child about it!

Last week we learned how to use dry erase boards! Wow, you could've heard a pin drop in the classroom. They were engrossed in writing numbers and excited to have their own dry erase board!

Here, Laila, Owen, Tristan, and Dylan are looking at pictures of their friends on their paper, finding their friend's name card and learning to write their name. This is one of the stations during literacy stations which happen daily.

Fantastic Fruit Fondue on Friday! The Franks graciously brought in lots of yummy fruit for our "F" snack. The students enjoyed dipping their fruit in fondue!

This week we have been learning the "Hey Diddle Diddle" Nursery Rhyme. We made our own fiddles to play!! I'm sure you've enjoyed these at home ;).
