During Pink week, we got to chew bubble gum and try to blow a bubble. Here are the pictures we made of us blowing bubbles. 9 of us could blow bubbles and 16 of us could not!

Before the Wooster vs. Orrville football game, one of the players spent some time in our classroom. Here is a picture of him reading a story to us!

Friendly Friday! Once a month, Mrs. Valentine's first grade class comes to our  classroom for an activity. Also, once a month we go to their classroom for an educational activity. In the pictures below we were working with a first grade friend on a book extension activity about "The Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid Of Anything" We had a great time with our new friends!

Fall Party! Here are several photos of our costumes and our party, what fun!

We made pattern necklaces in math.  I spent some time on Sunday dying the pasta. The kids loved hearing about how I did it. The pasta soaked for 12 hours before it fully turned colors!
Here we are making our necklaces that you will see at the Family Celebration...

We also were thrilled about letter pretzels. We made many words with our food, here is an example of one!

We hope to see you at the Family Celebration on Thursday! :)

We had an eventful week in Kindergarten!

Every Monday is "Marker Monday" and we begin the day singing songs about the letter of the week. Then we color "My Cc Book" and circle all the Cc's.

We also learned how to buddy read with our "EEKK" partners (elbow to elbow, knee to knee).

Wednesday was Purple Day and Lucy thrilled all the students with some yummy purple pancakes!

We have been learning color songs. This week we spelled each song as we sang them! We will do this every Wednesday while we are celebrating colors!

We made patterns with Froot Loops!

Our Nursery Rhyme of the week was Humpty Dumpty. So today we got to experiment with real eggs. Mrs. Hofstetter stood on the ship on the playground and the students made predictions if they thought and egg that was in a bag of feathers, foam, shredded paper, etc. would crack or stay together. We made predictions in the classroom, then recorded the results.

Ask your child if there were more eggs that stayed together or that were broken!

Hutson Copenhaver brought in a delicious C snack this week! Thank you!!
